Meet Tami Davis and Sheri Rickertsen, T.R.A.C.life Directors from Kearney, NE
Meet Tami Davis, T.R.A.C.life Director, and Sheri Rickertsen, T.R.A.C.life Assistant Director from Kearney, NE. They are launching this fall!
This is Tami’s first year involved with T.R.A.C.life, but she says volunteering at camp was awesome. Some of the camper’s stories just tore at her heart, and this experience moved her to volunteer as mentoring director when she heard there was a need. She is a unique person who enjoys handcrafts including quilting, knitting, crocheting, sewing and embroidery. She is widowed and retired but keeps busy working part time for her boss in Texas, participating in several Bible studies and staying in contact with her five grandbabies in Texas. She would encourage anyone considering volunteering at T.R.A.C.life to just do it if God is calling you.
Sheri “YaYa” Rickertsen has been Camp Grandma for two years now, supporting Carly and Brian Blakely, her daughter and son-in-law, who direct T.R.A.C. Kearney. She is just starting T.R.A.C.life, but she is very excited about how mentorship can be a great blessing to many. Outside of T.R.A.C. and T.R.A.C.life, Sheri is employed as a bookkeeper. For 49 years, she and her husband, JD, have lived on a farm that was homesteaded by her great-grandfather. They have 4 adult daughters and 10 granddaughters. She says that T.R.A.C.life is a wonderful way to positively impact a teen’s life!
