Why is camp so important? Statistics show…
20% of youth who age out of foster care will become instantly homeless.
7 out of 10 girls who were in foster care will become pregnant before the age of 21.
More than half of these youth will be incarcerated at some point by their mid-20s.
Only 1 out of every 2 youth who resided in foster care will have some form of gainful employment by the age of 24.
Less than 3% of these youth will earn a college degree at any point in their life.
The foster care crisis is real. The problem seems overwhelming. But we can be part of the solution. Together we can make a difference in the lives of hurting teenagers…ONE YOUTH AT A TIME.
