Mentoring Highlights

Welcome to our newest T.R.A.C.life leaders who trained in Nebraska last month: 

Stephanie Sunday & Tammy Wheeler (Central Nebraska), Tami Davis & Sheri Rickertsen (Kearney, NE), Erin Cantrell (Lincoln, NE), Stephanie Kidman (Springfield, MO), and Heidi & Sam Pergolski (Milwaukee, WI). 

Additionally, the following highlights from T.R.A.C.life are worth celebrating! 

 - One mentee got to sit in a Blackhawk helicopter when he went with his mentor to his place of work at the National Guard. This experience might very well have changed his life! 

- Another mentee was baptized at youth group by her mentor. She’s been taking her to youth and even getting discouraged by her behavior at times but has really seen God moving in the mentee’s life the last two months! Her family even came to the baptism, so it was really special! 

- So many mentees on the survey said their favorite part about T.R.A.C.life is simply spending time with their mentors and having someone to talk to.  

- A sibling trio whose bio mom is very absent all got mentors this year. Mentoring is life-changing for them!  

- My camper asked God to help her forgive her family at T.R.A.C. Later, she wrote me a note, saying she would forgive and give this burden to God.  

- My relationship with Khloe has developed into easy open communication over the years I’ve mentored her and been her camp counselor. Last year, there was some underlying things going on with her, so I was especially happy about her baptism a few months ago! We’ve had some great conversations about Jesus being her best friend, making good choices and coping skills. I’m happy to continue being her mentor
